Fall Resource Fair
Friday marks the end of the second week of the semester. It has been an interesting week because I believe that every week of the semester has something new to offer me as a student and also as a student ambassador at UC Blue Ash. It's been very impressive to see how well I have been adjusting to my duties as a student ambassador and how well I have been managing my time working on my homework.Compared to last week, week two has been very busy because my professors have increased the number of homework assignments due for next week.
Specifically, I have been really excited about my Business Communication class because we have been learning about the importance of respect in the work place and how it improves relationships between people.
This week I worked the fall resource fair. During the shift, I got to talk to some students and encourage them to look at the resources we have at UC Blue Ash. It was a very humbling experience for me because not every student responded the way I expected them to. It was an impactful experience for me because I understood that not everyone is going to respond to your approach the way you expect them to. Also, some won't even pay attention to what you have to say. However, it is important to not take that personal because some people are not open to expressing themselves in front of others. Also, it taught me how to consider thinking differently when I approach people.
